Day 1 - Sunday, May 27, 2029
Arrival, Opening & First Scientific Sessions
Participants are invited to collect their workshop materials, meet fellow attendees, and enjoy coffee before the official opening of IWW 2029.
The organisers will officially open IWW 2029, welcome all participants to Dortmund, and provide a brief introduction to the workshop programme and organisational details.
The opening invited lecture will highlight current developments and emerging perspectives in Wigner-function methods and related areas of quantum science and technology.
A short break with coffee and refreshments provides an opportunity for informal discussions and networking.
Selected contributed presentations will showcase recent theoretical, computational, and applied research involving Wigner functions and phase-space methods.
Participants are invited to enjoy lunch and continue discussions in an informal setting.
An invited speaker will present recent advances in one of the key scientific areas represented within the interdisciplinary Wigner community.
The afternoon session will feature contributed talks covering current research across quantum transport, quantum optics, quantum information, computational physics, and related fields.
Coffee and refreshments will be available during a short afternoon break.
Authors will present and discuss their work in an informal setting that encourages detailed scientific exchange and interaction between participants.
The first workshop day will conclude with a welcome reception offering drinks and light refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere.
